It's a Girl!

We welcomed a beautiful healthy baby girl on September 1, 2009 at 8:51pm. Jayden Paige arrived 17 days early weighing in at 8 lbs 11 oz and was 20 inches long!

My contractions had started while sitting in the Dr.s office while waiting on my weekly stress test on Aug. 31st. I was checked and was said to be a 4 cent. and was thought to be in labor. The Dr just sent me home to see what happened I continued to contract every 4-15 minutes all night and through till mid day on the 1st. I called and they requested I come in to the Dr's office again to be checked again where I had progressed to 5-6 cent so they sent me over to the hospital to be monitored. Within that hour I had progressed to a full 6 so they kept me and said we where going to have a Birthday, I couldnt believe it. They broke my water at 6:15pm and I actually stuck with the ol natural route it was an amazing experience but let me just say I am done....LOL! Little Miss Jayden made her apperance very quickly at 8:51pm. It went so fast the Dr barely made it in time to catch her....momma meant business! Let me just say that once they announced it was a girl the tears just flowed and I had forgotten about all that pain. Here I sat with another beautiful baby girl. Caleb unfortunately was very sick that day with a hi temp so the kids couldnt come back so they got to see her through the nursery window and then had to wait till we got home to meet and hold her. It was love at first sight for Caleb he couldnt get over how tiny she was. He said awwww look at her tiny ears, and her tiny fingers and toes...shes so cute momma....I love her!

Cami was a little more standoffish. We asked her if she wanted to hold her and she said no baby! But we got her on up there and she held her but wouldnt move her head to look at her she would just cut her eyes down at her ;)She is slowly getting use to her, she doesnt like Caleb getting near her she'll say my baby and push him backwards knocking him down. When I feed her she gets very jealous it becomes a screaming match and big tears flow for my attention. Im trying different things out Ive pulled out a rocking chair so she can sit and rock beside me as I feed her sister it works sometime.

It will just take some time but man I tell ya its stressful I feel like Im missing out on the bonding time even though Im breastfeeding I just dont have the time to sit and hold her, breaks my heart. But now that they are back in school it will give me more mommy and Jayden time ;) I'll figure it out but considering such a big change they have both done well to it all.
When we left the hospital last Thursday she weighed 8 lbs 4 oz and yesterday at her 1 week check-up she weighed the same. She looked great oh and her ultrasound they did on her in the hospital after birth on her kidneys came back fine, no problems. She is good to go till she is 2 months old.


Caleb also had his 8 year check-up yesterday. He did amazing, he finally reached the 50 lb mark and was 49 3/4 inches tall his Dr said your almost a square....LOL! He got 1 shot and blood drawn and didnt shed one tear. He was so big! Man I tell ya where is the time going for these guys?
Cami's bladder problems have much improved they never found anything wrong with her. They figure she just figured out how to control her urges but was making it worse by not going. Who knows....only she! Im just glad its getting better.
Well that about sums it up Im sure Im forgetting something but Im just too exhausted to think or type anymore....LOL! Its nap time for me....Thanks to everyone for all your help.


This was hilarious, the kids shared a bed while my mom was here helping out and we went in and here they lay calebs head was all the way back and Cami laying on him, it was the sweetest!

Summertime....

School time, Kid time, me time, relax time lets just say there really isnt enough time for it all ;)
Its been so hectic around here!

Caleb is loving school, he loves his teacher, he loves his homework he just loves it all! When that boys alarm clock goes off in the morning he hops out of that bed and is dressed and ready to go. Its so great now that he can dress hisself, fix his own hair, make his own breakfast and is ready to go when I get up...Great stuff!


Cami well she did good for the 1st few days and then kicked in moody judy Cami who didnt want to go to school anymore. No cool mama she would say and pitch fits when we got there Im talking flat out in the floor screaming. Then there where days she was hanging on to my legs screaming. Of course once I was out of there she would calm down about 5 mintues later and would have a great day!


Well wish I could say all the drama ended there. But folks I tell ya in our family what is normal anymore? Hectic is the story of our lives! Started out 2 weeks ago on a Wednesday night with a high temp she had of 103 out of the middle of nowhere with no other side effects. Then came the no wanting to eat or drink. So off to the Dr we went they found nothing but a red throat but they went ahead and checked for strep just in case it was negative. So he said just to push the fluids and give tylenols for the temps. So needless to say she missed 2 days of school that week. Come the following Monday we started seeing another odd behavior she would cry and scream and was holding herself like she had to potty. Little did we know she hadnt been all day after I asked school. She finally went at 4:00 that afternoon but screamed when she went. So we took her to the Dr on Tuesday by this appt time she still hadnt been come midday and was refusing all drinks but was still eating. They couldnt get a urine sample well because she doesnt know how to do that on the potty yet. But they opted out of cathetar in fear it would make things worse. And of course the labs where closed anyways, so they just bagged her and sent me home with a cup hoping she would go so I could save it and take it in the next day. Well lets just say it never happend until the next morning. Stubborn girl I tell ya!


Anyhow I sent her back to school to see how she would do and of course she was still refusing the drinks so after I picked her up I called the Drs office back and they told us to go the the ER. SO we checked in at 1:20 they had to a cathetar on her because she wouldnt go which was absoultely horrible for my baby girl. It broke my heart! They also tested her blood both test came back perfect no signs of any infections! But they continued to watch her scrammble around in the floor screaming and holding herself and was confused as to what was going on. They wanted to observe her overnight and run a x-ray, and an ultrasound but after a long 5 hour wait and was getting nowhere we checked ourselves out. SLOW people I tell ya. Anyhow we took her to a follow-up with her Ped again the next day because the issues continued. He thought maybe she had vulvitis and told us just to give her 2 warm baking soda baths twice daily and call back Monday to see if the problems continued. Seemed like things where getting better but she was still holding herslef alot. She went to school on Monday and she was excited finally to be back...but it was short lived come Tuesday morning. She started screaming and saying ow ow mommy and peed all the way through a dry diaper, her clothes and soaked the floor. So off to the Dr again. This time he is thinking Bladder Spasms as the urine from this visit came back normal as well(yes another cathetar...horrible stuff)! So he has prescribed a med to help relax the bladder muscles to see if this will help. If it does not he will be referring her to a Urologist first thing next week. He has wathced her and says she is definetly in some pain but bad thing she cant tell us what she feels!
So now we wait! I kept her home today again but hopefully she will be back into school tomorrow. This med she has to take 3xs daily blurred vision is the main side effect but she hasnt ran into anything today so far....LOL!


But enough of the bad news let me share some good stuff that she has been doing. One being her speech, man has this girl is talking up a storm new words daily seems like. The other day in one of her soaking baths I was just walking from her room to Calebs picking up the bathroom is in between their rooms and she said mama I poo I poo and I ran int here thinking oh gosh dont poop in the tub but much to my surprsie she was saying shampoo and pointing to it "Look mama Ipoo".....LOL! Another on this same say is I did it! Look mama I did it, its so cute to hear and she gets so excited when she has acheived something and says I did it and claps for herself.



Now the Biggys: Let me start off saying how proud I am of my big girl because she has been working so hard on this tasks all summer and has taken many beat up bruised legs. What is it, well its peddling her bike! She has finally figured it out with much practice and different kinds of vehicles like a small peddle car and a bike peddle game. She has put in so much practice that she actually finally figured it out. She still has some problems specially since its easier to peddle backwards and this bike has brakes so she will come at a skreeching hault almost throwing her off, but she will get it.



The other thing she has learned 2 days ago was all thanks to her daddys persuasion to get her to figure this machine out. This past Christmas she got a Barbie car you know the ride ins that she can control or it had a remote that we could control it for her while she rode around. Well the antenna on that thing broke long ago so we would have to follow her around on that thing while controling the remote. Well finally her daddy said he was going to teach her how to push the gas peddle to make this thing go and to much surprise after 10-20 minutes she had it figured out. We have tried this and tried this but something finally just clicked for her. And she looks so precious out there driving that thing on the road and yes she even stears it the right way. Never had a more proud mama.
Lots of credit to Caleb too because he has worked with her lots to, he would say watch me Cami. Hes even taught her to swing really high on the swing. its so great seeing these two together ;)



Now off to mommy world! Lets just say Let the countdown begin! Im 35 weeks and the baby just keeps getting bigger and bigger. As of last weeks ultrasound the baby was weighing in at 6 pounds 3 ounces.....my hubby says gosh at this rate we are gonna have a 10 pounder....gee thanks! Caleb was 8lbs 5oz, Cami was 9 even so its looking like a pretty steady rate of increased weights! Ive been going twice a week. Every monday I have NST's(stress tests) which is where they just hook you up to a monitor for 20 minutes watching the heart beat and movements.


And on thursdays I have BPP ultrasounds to look at movements, weight, size, fluids and organs. Im considered High risk because of my gestational diabetes which is under lots better control! But baby looks great, happy as can be in there...loves to swing from the rib cage feels like...LOL! So not much longer before we know what this sweet pea is going to be a Carson David or a Jayden Paige! I'll keep ya posted ;)

Sleep???

Thats my question this evening? Will we be fortunate enough to receive a fulls night sleep before the new baby comes. My answer probably not! Cameran has been having this problem since the seizures started at 6 months of age. Last year we seemed to hit a good spell where she would sleep through the nights but that has since dissappeared! Last year we tried Ambien and it backfired causing the oppostie effect. Well last week they prescribed Lunesta so last night was the first try and lets just say that med will be thrown out! It too caused the opposite. She normally will fall asleep pretty quick 5-10 minutes and she is out around 10ish. Once asleep she will sleep soundly till 3a.m. then comes to our bed where she will toss and turn and cry out for hours not able to get comfortable. Then maybe around 6ish she will find that comfort zone and be out sound again till about 8:00 where she then starts flopping around again. Now last night we tried out the Lunesta before we gave it to her she was very tired and ready for bed. We give it to her and she becomes a bouncy ball almost immediately. Talking up a storm and raring to go. We tried to lay in her bed like our norm and she was not having it she just cried and cried looking around her room she seemed very aggetated. So I gave up and brought her to our bed, where this behavior continued. She stopped fussing then became a giggle box leaning over me and saying hi momma then over to her daddys side Hi daddy giggle giggle. Her motor mouth was running non stop unable to sit still. My hubby gave up on her after 30 minutes of it once he was out she was kept this up for maybe another 30-45 min. Then she was out. But once asleep the weirdness continued she flopped way more than her norm and was laughing but was asleep then she would sit up and lean over in your face say hi momma or dada and giggle then she was back resting again. It was the craziest thing ever. This went on all night long never a break she kicked and giggled. Jason said he got kicked in the eye and laughed at. I tried to keep my back to her so I wouldnt get kicked in the tummy.
So why I ask does she react this way to these meds. I mean even the Melatonin what your body already produces gives her problems. Such strange stuff if you ask me! At any point we are done with the meds and hope and pray that one day she will just start sleeping....Im praying its very soon. Ive got a little over 7 weeks before the baby comes.
Oh speaking of I ended up in Labor and Delievery last Thursday with contractions that just wouldnt stop. The baby was happy as a lark in there moving around tons. Actually dont know what hurt worse it moving or the contractions....LOL! I was there for 3 hours before they finally started to slow down. Turned out I was dehydrated even with all the water I already drink. But with much more added things have been perfect again. No more contractions. I went home that same night around midnight no dialtion and the preterm labor test came back negative so now we just sit and wait! Seeing those sweet little babys up there made it seem so real! I just cant wait to meet this new lil sweet pea ;)

Kids start back to school on Wednesday and I think Im more ready than they are....LOL! Its been a looooong summer break and they are so on each others nerves. Caleb will be in 3rd grade we find out who his teacher is tomorrow evening. And Cami has a wonderful new Pre-K teacher this year. Hope I didnt scare her too much with what to expect from our girl! I cant wait to see what this year holds for them both...Endless possibilities ;)

Long update with pics!

Wow its almost over for the kids they start back to school in just 2.5 weeks! Time is just flying by in a hurry thats for sure. We went on vacation a little over a week ago and I feel like Im still trying to pull everything back together. We took a long camping trip to Salt Lick which is not far from home about hour and a half. The kids loved it we where sat right on the lake with a beautiful view. It was peaceful and nerve racking. Of course being near the water you are always on edge with the kids. Cami proved that as soon as we got there. She lost her footing and slipped on the rocks and fell in Jason turned in time to only see the top of her head the rest under water. Accckkkkkk give me a heart attack so the kids had to wear life jackets any time near the bank just to be safe! Thankfully we stayed safe the rest of the trip.

We took the pontoon boat out for many fishing trips. Man it was great and we where catching the fish like crazy. Jason would go out early about 7am and stay gone till he knew we would be up which was usually about 9:30-10:00! Yes we love to sleep in! So Im glad he got lots of down time with just him and the fish. Said he would catch one everytime he would cast out. Good Times!

I caught the winner of the day! We still dont know what it was but it was about a foot long. I was just realing in and that thing came right up to it before I pulled my hook up out of the water and took it. I couldnt believe it!


The temps where a little too warm for me it stayed in the upper 90's we tried to hit the beach area but believe it or not the water was colder than ice water. No lie Caleb got in and his hands turned blue it was freezin! We would try to walk out some looking for warm spots(ack) but there where very few we couldnt stand it. Funny thing all the parents where up on the banks while the kiddys swam.
These ducks just came right up to our site and hung out for a couple hours! Caleb said look mama Im swimming with the ducks!



We stayed in for about 10 minutes when Jason said was that your toes? I said where he said in my hands I said no Mine are planted firmly in the sand he said well that was a big fish well lets just say it didnt take me long to hi tail it out of there....LOL! Im not a big fan as it is of not being able to see my feet. On my way out a girl behind him so Oh God what was that the other said I dont know and I dont want to know it was alive and she was moving...LOL must of been the same one Jason encountered!
I think this was the smallest we caught...LOL!

Funny story: One day while we where out Jason was really having a hard time realing a Big something in and Caleb kept saying daddy caught a big fish once pulled up out of the water it was a tree branch that looked like antlers and Caleb says awwww Daddy caught a reindeer.....LOL! Kids do say the silliest things!


This was the only catsifh we caught and it was a night right off our bank!


Cami normally loves the water but maybe because of her beginning scare she wasnt having it at all! She screamed loudly so I carried her in and every time I would get a little deeper she would scream its WET! Yes hunny its water.....LOL but I think she meant its cold she was shivering up a storm. So daddy took her up to the playground since he couldnt handle the water either because of the temp. Caleb hung out in it a while so I sat and sunned!

That about summed it up for the week just lots of rest, fishing, boating and enjoying the company with each other!

We left out from there and moved to a campground closer to us its about 25 miles from the house. We stayed there for 4 days. Jason promised me a pool and they have a great one. So we spent most of our time in the pool. The kids did so enjoy it better. We taught Caleb how to swim, we had him jumping off the sides and on the last day jumping off the diving board so proud of my lil guy! Cami stayed in the life jacket and arm floaties for extra support but our girl is like a lil ballarina in the water she loves to twirl. She so enjoyed the pool water she was a lil scared to begin with but soon got over it! By the 2nd day she was jumping off the side of the pool with no nose holding and even gave the diving board an attempt but of course didnt succeed she had no idea what to do she just wanted to bounce on the board....LOL! So lots of learning fun! Come to the end of our trip we where pooped out and ready to come home. But not before a skunk joined us and stunk up our camp site and got in our trash! What a trip.

Now onto Dr.s appts. Cami has been released from her belly Dr. things have seemed to come to some normalcy there but of course once released she got backed up again but with some Murilax she was good as new. So really its only as a as needed basis appts. She also had her Neuro appt where things went really really well. All i can say is that he was so impressed with my girl. He came in and she was talking up a storm which hes never heard out of her. He thought she was a little miracle and said out of all their Infantile Spasms patients she was the only one with such a good outcome. Said they didnt have one to be where she was at and to be doing so well. So way to beat those odds Cami! He examined her, checked the reflexes and tone levels. Said her reflexes in her legs and tone still seem to be a tiny low but no biggy. He was thrilled to hear she came off the Depakote successfully. He has set her up to have a EEG sometime in September to see how her brain waves read without it. Said it may have been the cause of the slow brain waves seen a few months back. He has also requested genetics just to see if there is anything that can be heriditary. Im iffy on that one still so we shall see, the appt is set for next week!

Cameran though I tell ya since coming off the Depakote is like a new kid. Her speech has GREATLY improved. New words all the time and lots of sentences and course there is lots of stuff we have no idea what she is saying but its the cutest. Her new words this week are How for House, Bug, Nack(snack), yuck, stinky stinky, coke, dilk(milk), why, book, baby, hat(is what she calls her head), nose, eyes, Mou for mouth, pink, red, blue, yellow, brown, green(she doesnt reconize any of these colors except yellow on occasion), socks, shoes, feet, cup, up, Elmo, slide, wet, wawa for water, hot, move, whoa, coat, bath, block, boat, please, bird, bite, rock rock for rocking chair, night night is for bed, peek a boo is what she says when she wants her clothes on, cat and says meow. These are all from coming off the Depakote just 2 weeks ago! I know there is more but this is all I can think of right off. Now her mumbo jumbo sentences go something like this : "I want go babab latada go go go bye" If you can figure out the in between just let me know but we get lots of this but its so great to hear.
Now down fall from coming off the med we have seen her sleep get worse again, waking lots during the night. Fussing and staying in a light sleep from like 3:00am and on. Also her moods have gotten worse she has become extremely irritable very fussy thorugh out the day maybe due to lack of sleep at night. And our little fearless is no more. She is even more now scared of dogs and their barking, she runs and screams, shes now scared of the dark and flys. And loud noises just flip her out she goes nuts and runs for security! Not sure what thats all about maybe she is just more aware now that there are no meds to fog her brain....I just dont know!
So lots still going on that we have to figure out and overcome but it too will come with time. She is still throwing major fits, still shows problems in the safety awarness department. She is starting to show signs of understanding things requested a little better. Its more of a routine type deal. And we are still no where near potty training being a sucess she still has no clue on what to do. She will tell us peepee so we take her and she does nothing. She will not sit longer than 5 seconds.

But all in all such huge improvements, I can only imagine how much further she takes off once school starts back!

On to my appt. Well I've made it to 30 weeks seems like it took ages and now time is flying by. I had another ultrasound where things had much improved. Earlier the baby was showing Hydrophenosis which is swelling in the kidneys but we stayed positive and things have since improved. The right side is not considered hydrop right now but the left is still showing a small amount but not enough to be concerned. I was thrilled of this news. THe baby appeared to look healthy and was a busy little thing. But was tucked away good. It would not show its face, profile nothing but a little foot and lots of hair on its little head. Sweet stuff!


After the ultrasound I saw the Dr where we discussed many things one being the horrible pains I've been having in my hips, legs and groin its unbearable gets hard to move or walk she says some women during pregnancy produce to much progestrone causing pains such as these lucky me :) Also we discussed my gestational diabetes which just seems to be crazy this go round. My fastings being the worst and even with Glyburide its not going down so they have set me up with a high risk pregnancy Dr and they will be starting me on Insulin this week. Accckkkk I hate needles so I have no idea how thats gonna work! The baby is already weighing in at 3 pounds 3 ounces and I have 9 weeks to go. They say its at 68 percentile in weight. So I have yet another ultrasound set for the end of this month to check weight again also to see if baby is still breech. But still plenty of time to move ;)


We hope everyone had a safe and Happy 4th of July! We spent the evening with my best friend and her family and it was a great evening! Some Yummy grillin, swimming and to end the evening they had some amazing fireworks but Cami was scared out of her mind poor lil gal she just couldnt handle it!

But the other kids really enjoyed the show until we got rained out! Wouldnt ya know it we havent had rain in a week and it wasnt to show up till midnight and it had to show up early but we could always use a good rain:) It was great fun!

Its Summer time....

AND we are feeling it and loving it except for the heat that is ;)
The kids are working on their tans living and loving it up outside playing everyday! The cast didnt slow Cami down any, in fact we are happy to say that smelly thing came off last week! So hello swimming pool!!!! We are leaving for another camping trip this week. A week long set on the lake is calling our names and we cant wait to turn the kids loose. We've not been in the water yet so we are for sure to make up for the time lost ;)

Thats right we had Caleb front and center! Making sure he knew what you have to go through with a broken bone. No more of these please!!!!




She did not make any big movements after that thing came off. But Jason about passed out by the smell...it was horrible. It got wet the Friday before it was to come off. We had to take her in and they where going to take it off and redo it because once it gets damp its bad on their skin but thankfully to us taking a hairdryer to it, they thought it was ok. But man did it make a bad smell! After they removed it she still had a small bruise on her elbow left over but everything looked great. They did another x-ray and said it healed nicely so no need for another cast. He tried to take a look at her but she wasnt letting any of us near it. She walked around with it held like it was still in the cast. The Dr told us that it would straighten out on its own and she was probably not going to let us near it because it just feels weird but told us it would get better and she would do things on her own to straighten it out and she has done just that! Its looking much straighter. She goes back in a month to have another xray to make sure everything is looking good and then will go back in a year to make sure it is growing straight. Its a memory of the past for her it never slowed her down once and now she is back to climbing and jumping on everything....makes us nervous...Shes our little fearless!

This week Cami has 2 more Dr appts. One with her GI Dr she has the every 2 months. Then the following day she has her Neuro follow up. This is a very exciting visit in our books....It will be her first visit with being on no meds. Thats right you have read that correctly I just gave Cami her last Depakote pill tonight!!!! I am so nervous for her but pray things will stay smooth sailing. Cause I tell ya my girl has really taken off, her speech just surprises us everyday. We are working on animal noises and just all round reconizing animals. As some may remember at her last Developmental appt she associated every animal as a doo(a cow) well not any longer! A horse is a neeeeeeiiiighhhh she says. She can say dog now and even barks, a goat is just the sound it makes, a her new one as of last night is a cat she says meeooowwww! Too cute Cami! She repeats alot of sounds and words some not so clear but in her own little way so makes no difference to me because she is trying her hardest. Her sentences are getting better. You get lots of "Lets Go Daddy" "Bye Bye gaga(Caleb)" "I go ByeBye" Go Night Night" I want Dilk(milk)" I want Dot(hot)Dog", I ride bike", I want ride", "I want up mama", "I want you mama", "I want eat", "I want cupcake". Then of course her famous words as of right now are: What? and No, those are her fav! She has such a sweet little voice. She loves for you to sing the ABC's and she even trys to sing along. Shes actually getting to know alot of tunes, like the theme songs to their fav shows, like Spongebob, Drake and Josh, ICarly, and the other day a Brittany Spears song came on ya know the Lalalalalalala love me hate me....baby girl kept the lalalala's a going the whole song while cutting up the rug...LOL! It was the cutest ever ;)

Oh and one more thing did I tell ya my girl has learned how to swing all by herself. Yes thats right she just this week mastered moving her legs back and forth to make herself go and man can that girl swing high! Caleb has been teaching her a few things himself and hes so proud of hisself for it. I just watching them they are both the sweetest things!

I've been taking him to the library and he is just in awww of all the books. He loves to read he came home with some very intersting stuff, The appalachain mts, Caves, weather books....he is so into science and the world! Cami has enjoyed these trips as well i let her play on the kid computers while he searched for his books, then he joined us. They spent 40 minutes on the computers creating pictures they loved it. The library here just offers many activites for them its great! Got to keep them entertained or they'll tear the house apart ;)

To end our week me and the hubby celerbrated our 11 year wedding anniversary on June 13th. The grandparents took the kids for the night while we headed to a crusie on the General Jackson in Nashville. It was a 3 hour night cruise down the Cumberland River and man was it amazing. We had dinner on the deck and then spent the rest of the evening at the front of the boat soaking up the views, cool breeze, and some much needed time alone! You could count every star in the sky it was just the best night and hey we even got to sleep in till 9:30 the next morning......ahhhhhhh that was nice!

The downtown city view of Nashville. It was a beautiful sight with all the ligths shinning on the water. A different side of Nashville than we've ever seen!

This was our table we picked at the front of the boat for most of the cruise. We ended up moving up to the top deck for an even more amazing view set at the the very front with a wide open view in front of us and nothing but the stars above us. It was a fantastic evening!

Just enjoying this summer break is what its all about. Wish we could hit the beach this year but its just not gonna happen too much going on and too much to get done before the baby comes. But we've promised a trip to the beach next year as a family of 5....Excited about that! Pregnancy is still going good, 27 weeks is where Im at right now and 12 weeks is what I have left, this one will be early like Cami was. I go back to the Dr for my 7 month check-up on the 29th. I will be having another ultrasound so I'll be updating again after that appt.
