Thursday

This was our last day of excitement! We decided to head to the Lake and just relax for a while especially after all the excitement throughout the week! Let me just say it was a great way to end the week! We went to a lake called Center Hill about an hours drive from our home! Our Crew included Me and my hubby and the 2 kiddos and my Mom, my neice Chi and My In-Laws! We took out on the Pontoon Boat and brought the Jet Ski along so the kids could have some fun too, that would incluse the adults too ;)


Well when we first got there we decided to cruise by Alan Jacksons(country singer) home. Well much to our surprise there he sat with some family on the back of his house boat! It really made our day! Here is the pics!

His 3 boats. The brown wood one is called the Hoochie Coochie, its the one they used in his video Chattahoochie! Not sure about the one next to it but the big one is called Lucille.




And here is Alan Jackson, he is in the Orange Shirt(click on the picture to get a better view) and of course his body guard standing up close to him watching everyone that went by! When we drove by, Alan waved at us and my Neice about passed out! She smiled and giglged the rest of the day!

We really picked a good spot we where catching these fish left and right! The guys barely had enough time to bait our hooks before someone had caught a fish and needed it removed!

Sneak Peek

Sorry I haven't updated in a while but this week was our Vacation week. Although we didn't go out of town we did have a weeks worth of fun in surrounding cities! Let me just say we have had an everyday, all day activities planned that has literally worn these kiddos out but only because they exhausted themselves from all the fun! We have hit Drive-Ins on Sunday night double feature, The Zoo in Nashville on Monday, Nashville Shores(water park) on Tuesday, The Aquarium and Train Ride in Chattanooga on Wednesday and the Lake in Center Hill on Thursday where we fished for 5 hours and had the kids out on the jet ski while the Parents and Grandparents relaxed on the Pontoon boat! We have had a fantastic week making Me and Jason's 9 year Anniversary a Memorable one! Here is a family pic from the Aquarium the day of our Anniversary

Skin Results & Hair Problems

Ok well the results of Camerans skin peeling so far he thinks is just from her high fever last week. He asked if she had a high fever in the past week and of course she did have that viral temp thing of temps of 104.6 just a week ago. He says sometimes when kids get sick with such high temps it can cause their fingers and toes to peel! Never would have thought that.
Anyway at the visit I thought I would bring up the hair loss and this caught his attention quickly. He looked at her scalp and noticed what I have been talking about. He spotted out her bald spots and how thin her hair has gotten and receding hair lines( you cant see those unless I pull her bangs back and underneath that you can see how much she has lost)!
He said she has Alopecia for more info I put a link in the sidebar! He typically sends his patients to see a Dermatologist but he says with his 5 patients that have this the Dermatologist really doesn't due much these days unless its severe. Well he decided to go ahead and run a blood test checking her Thyroid just to rule that out as a possible reason to lose this much hair! He is aware of the meds she is on but really doesn't think its the cause. She went through a stage a while back of pulling her hair out which is also another things kids do that have Alopecia.
While there he just ran his fingers through her hair and it was falling out. SO he told us to not pull her hair up in piggy's or pony tails that a clip to the side would be fine and limit our brushing so its not breaking her hair even more! We'll find the results out on Monday and go from there.
He doesn't think the skin issues and hair loss are a problem as a whole he thinks they are two separate issues. But again he just wants us to watch these two things to make sure it doesn't worsen!

My poor babys hair looks so broken and damaged and this is "fixed" looks like a mess huh you just cant do anything with it unless its pulled up! Guess I need to invest in some hats wonder if that would make it worse??


Oh and I had to throw this in here, that my girl is still going strong no seizures in 9 weeks! WooHoo! Still no talking, just some squeals here and there, but Motor wise she is improving everyday. Go Cami

Peeling skin....

If anyone has ever seen anything like this let me know but we are off to the Dr today for him to check this out! Camerans skin around her fingers, toes and bottoms of her feet are peeling off. It looks so strange! You can click on the photos to see it more clearly.

Milk Mustaches & Scrapped Knees`

What a combo huh? Well this is just some miscellaneous stuff going on around the house!


1st here we have the kids goofing. We made some cupcakes and here they are sporting there Milk Mustaches/Cupcake Icing Smiles!

My favorite picture of the bunch! Cameran is really starting to make some hilarious facial expressions! This by far is my fav!!!!!

Now on to Camis 1st scraped knees! I have a picture of Caleb with his 1st sitting on this very step so I just couldn't resist! She fell on our front porch being silly then she did it again a few days later!

Which the 2nd part brings up a story to tell. We had a little rain blow through and it blew our back door open(if not shut correctly it opens to easy) anyhow me and Caleb where working on his math book in my room and I heard the swings chiming and I looked back there and who do you think was standing outside playing....Cami! I panicked, she hadn't been out there but maybe 2 minutes but long enough to get into trouble! So all doors have to stay locked now! But our question is how did she get down those stairs obviously she got a little scrape but maybe she can do more than we think she can...Goes to show that you can never underestimate a child, Special Needs or not, they are smarter than they let on. mischievous little things....LOL!

Hair loss already...

OK this is not something I thought we would be dealing with right now! But Cameran seems to be losing quite a bit of hair! Every time I wash her hair or brush her hair big clumps of it falls out. Her hair has become super thin and now her hair lines are receding. It actually goes all the way around it looks so strange when I pull it up!
Has anyone else had this happen? I read that Depakote can have this affect but I really never thought of it actually happening! Is this a common thing or am I just losing my mind? It also seems that its not growing, maybe I should go have it trimmed again but I really wanted it to grow out. I guess I just thought her hair would be thick and grow fast like Caleb's but that has not been the case. Do any of you think this is med related? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

I should also mention that she was on ACTH last year between Aug 31-Nov.2nd. During that time she grew tons of hair "everywhere" but did lose that extra! Maybe its that...I just dont know! She is currently on Keppra, Klonopin and Depakote.

Its been 8 Weeks.....

Since our Little Pooh Bear has had any seizures!

Cameran is just doing fantastic! She is finally over that nasty viral thing and is back to her old self again & has picked up where she left off with her new sounds! Now she is straining that voice deep down and every once in awhile it will let out a very HIGH pitch squeel that startles her. She will jump and then look around like who or what in the world was that! Its sooo funny! No babbling yet but we are getting close we try to get her to say mama or dada and she'll open her mouth like she is going to but thats all we get is a wide open mouth!



Cameran is doing new things here and there so I wanted to share her new talents with you!
1. Following objects
-Outside we have this huge new disk/frisbee and she LOVES this thing. Well now when we throw it she looks up to follow it where as before she would just watch the ground for it or by the time it came down she had already lost intrest!

2. Noticing people
-Before she acted as if she was the only one in the room, now she wants to interact. Just this past weekend we where at a good friends house and they have a baby that is 2.5 months and Cami was very interested. Touching her feet, face, giving her hugs, she just couldnt get enough of her and baby Casey just loved Cami she would laugh everytime Cameran got near her! It was adorable and I was so extatic that she paid attention to her for so long! Her attention spand is getting bigger everyday.
Now if we can just get her to sit still for a longer period of time.

3. Sitting things down
-Another new thing that we have just noticed in the past 2 days is when she wants to climb up where I'm at but has a favortie toy in hand she will push it up onto the couch and then climb up with me before she would just drop it and come up. Today I sat in the living room floor to feed her breakfast and she came over sat her sippy cup straight up next to me and then sat down on the floor beside me waiting to eat! I was so excited......This might be small to some but to me this is HUGE milestone for Cameran!


4. Following Commands
I'll say "Cameran you want to go by" and she will walk door to door banging on it. And then saying "Do you want to go outside to play" and she will walk to the backdoor then back to me, "I'll say lets get your shoes on and she will walk with me to find them and then sit down in the floor and wait....So WAY TO GO Cami!
And this morning when I was done giving her a bath I said "All done lets get out" and she stood up held her arms out to me and smiled! Keep up the good work Cami!!







Caleb and Cameran riding around in their Jeep yesterday! She did great sitting in it the whole time....Well she did as long as he kept it moving!
